FCL Builders Inc. of Itasca has announced seven promotions, including
Christopher Paxson
to associate vice president while continuing as principal,
R. Craig Slinker
, also to associate vice president from senior project manager and Christian Evangelista to senior project manager from project manager. Four were recently promoted to project manager from assistant project manager:

Eppstein Uhen Architects of Milwaukee has announced John Chapman was promoted to director of the commercial studio and principal from senior design architect. The position opened after Steve Holzhauer was named to run the firm's Madison office. Three were promoted to associate, Design Architect Eric Dufek, Project Manager Robert Norman and Senior Project Manager Robert Vajgrt.

Tim Just, vice president of field operations of Milwaukee-based CG Schmidt Inc. ,
has received the Gil Czaplewski Award from the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee. The honor is given to an outstanding superintendent dedicated to the improvement of the AGC and construction industry. Schmidt is a general contractor.

McShane Construction Corp. of Rosemont has announced Colleen Shannon Magruder was named vice president of human resources. She was previously director of human resources of Chicago-based Beltone Electronics Corp.
H. Steven Miller
was promoted to senior project manager from project manager. McShane provides development and design-build services.

Robert Mattern was named senior project director in the Industrial Infrastructure Division of Lisle-based Patrick Engineering Inc. He was previously project manager with Chicago-based Raymond Professional Group. Patrick provides engineering, design, planning, technology consulting and construction management.

J.P. Cullen & Sons Inc. of Janesville has announced Shannon Metoxen and
Mark Kuzniewski were each promoted to project manager in the Milwaukee Division. Metoxen was previously estimator, and Kuzniewski was previously superintendent. Cullen is a general contractor.

M.A. Mortenson Co. of Minneapolis has announced the promotion of Jeff Maples to project manager in Milwaukee. He was previously a field engineer. Also in Milwaukee, Gilbert Garcia was named design phase coordinator, and Cody Kissock was named field engineer. Garcia was previously senior architectural technician in Kansas City, Mo., with St. Louis-based Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum Sport, and Kissock was previously an employee with Hensel Phelps Construction Co. in San Jose, Calif. Mortenson is a general contractor.

KBS Construction Inc. of McFarland, Wis., has announced the promotions of
Jeremy Cortesio, Derek Rinabarger and Rich Severson

Peter Diemer as assistant project engineer, Alex Vasiliev as assistant project scientist and David Wentland as senior project engineer. Each was previously with Green Bay-based Coastal Planning & Design Inc., Diemer as design specialist, Vasiliev as GIS, CAD and modeling specialist and Wentland as senior project engineer. Donald Hemphill was named design engineer in Peoria, and

National Survey & Engineering of Brookfield, Wis., announced Jonathan Schapekahm was named senior project engineer, Jamie Beaty was named survey project manager and Nancy Parduhn Wilson . Schapekahm was previously project engineer with Northbrook-based Daniel Creaney, Beaty was previously survey crew coordinator/land surveyor with Applied Technologies in Brookfield and Purduhn Wilson was previously an associate of Sussex-based Lied's Nursery. National Survey provides civil engineering, planning and surveying services.

Peder Gronset was named general superintendent of Naperville-based Knightsbridge Design + Build Inc. He was previously senior superintendent of Hoffman Estates-based Leopardo Cos. Inc. Knightsbridge offers design-build services.

HGA Architects and Engineers of Minneapolis has announced two additions to its Milwaukee office, Roger Lautz as senor associate and leader of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Steven Raasch as associate and project manager in the Healthcare Practice Group. Lautz was previously senior project engineer with Madison-based Pearson Engineering, and Raasch was previously project
manager of Milwaukee-based Eppstein Uhen Architects . HGA is a design firm.

V3 Cos. of Woodridge has announced the promotions of Laura Shafer to project manager and Brandon Pierce to project engineer. Shafer was previously COMING, and Pierce was previously COMING. V3 is an environmental consulting firm.

Weis Builders of Minneapolis has announced additions to its Rolling Meadows office, Jeff Siemon as project manager, Chris Hogan as superintendent and Joe Hackel, also as superintendent. Siemon was previously senior project manager with St. Charles-based Belair Excavating, Hogan was previously a superintendent with Homewood-based Graycor and Hackel was previously COMING. Holabird & Root LLC of Chicago has announced that it is celebrating its 125th anniversary. The architecture firm was established in 1880 while the city was still rebuilding after the fire of 1871.
