Clyde Baker Jr., senior principal engineer with Vernon Hills-based STS/AECOM, was named recipient of the 2009 Washington Award, which is sponsored by the Western Society of Engineers in Lisle, Ill. The honor is given to an engineer whose professional attainments have advanced the welfare of humankind.
Duane Kreuger, senior project manager of St. Louis-based Geotechnology Inc., was elected vice president/president-elect of the Denver-based Association of Environmental & Estimating Geologists. Geotechnology provides geotechnical, environmental engineering and other services.
